Day 1: First Lesson? How To Deal With Pimps and Hoes

As this post is... well posted, I shall have just started my very first day as a pharmacy student. No, there is no ticker tape parade or a rousing performance by Wayne Newton.

Nothing fancy like that.

It is, however, the first step towards the completion of what is quickly becoming a lifetime goal. And it is also the first step towards more damn interesting musings by yours truly.

Who else is excited?

Good luck. Study hard and come back to us in 4 years. Let us know when you go on rotations!

My orientation week (in 1997 - yikes, I'm old) included a half-day orientation for spouses and such...in which they told my husband that if married before pharmacy school, there was a 50% chance of divorce during pharmacy school. We took the advice to heart and made sure to balance studies with each other. Balance is key, just like everything else in life.

That brings back fond memories and a familiar stirring in my loins about that first day of pharmacy school when I sat next to that cute little redheaded pharmacy student. When I wasn't looking at her test paper, I was checking out her... well, never mind. (.Y.)
